Location: Canberra, ACT
Join a major program delivering secure, complex systems vital to national interest. As a Data Architect, you'll play a critical role in leading solution design, database architecture, and data integration for cutting-edge systems. You will collaborate with technical and business stakeholders, driving enterprise-level data strategies and innovation in a secure and high-impact environment.
Key Duties:
Contract Duration: 12 months with 2 x 12-month extension options.
Security Clearance: Due to the nature of this environment, candidates are required to have a TSPV clearance to perform this role.
This position is open to Australian citizens with a valid security clearance due to role requirements. We are committed to a non-discriminatory hiring process but, unfortunately, cannot provide visa sponsorship for overseas applicants.

Key Duties:
- Lead solution architecture, system views, and data designs aligned to business needs
- Design, implement and manage structured/unstructured data stores for performance and scalability
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure data infrastructure meets operational needs
- Document data systems and pipelines for continuity, governance, and ease of understanding
- Extensive experience in data management, architecture, and integration for complex systems
- Proficiency in data modelling, enterprise architecture, and emerging technology assessment
- Experience with AI/ML data structuring and awareness of secure system configuration principles
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills in technical contexts
