Senior Policy Officer – Veteran Health & Wellbeing Policy (APS6 Contract)

Contract Duration: ASAP start to 30 June 2026 (contract)
Security Clearance Requirement: Baseline clearance required

Essential Tasks:
- Develop and implement policy initiatives aligned to government priorities.
- Prepare high-quality briefs, correspondence, reports and discussion papers.
- Analyse data and research to inform technical policy advice and recommendations.
- Engage stakeholders to gather input and support policy development projects.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing policy (highly regarded).
- Strong understanding of government processes (e.g., legislation, budget cycles).
- Excellent writing skills, including translating technical issues into clear advice.
- Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate across diverse stakeholders.
