Network Security Engineer – Transformation Program

Join a major brownfields transformation program integrating a hybrid multi-cloud hosting environment into a unified ecosystem with stronger security, end-to-end observability, modernised communications, and a better user experience. You’ll lead the design of resilient, scalable network architectures—translating logical designs into secure physical implementations across on-prem and cloud.

📍 Location: Canberra, ACT
NV 1 Security Clearance required

Essential Tasks:
  • Design and validate secure SWDN policies, segmentation, and alignment to security baselines.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed network designs, specifications, and topologies.
  • Define network configurations and policies using code (including Infrastructure as Code).
  • Design for resilience: scalability, redundancy, high availability, and disaster recovery/BCP.
Key Criteria:
  • Proven experience producing end-to-end network designs and design documentation.
  • Strong hybrid/multi-cloud networking capability (virtual topologies, connectivity, cloud-native services).
  • Deep understanding of network security, segmentation, risk, and audit/control considerations.
  • Hands-on experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code for network provisioning.
