Compas is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer with strong database administration expertise to support a complex, specialised technology environment. This role will focus on the installation, configuration, testing, patching, administration, troubleshooting and performance tuning of a custom-built pre-release non-relational database, while supporting migration activities, infrastructure stability and secure database operations.
Location: QLD, ACT, VIC or SA
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Security Clearance Requirement: Current NV1 clearance required

Essential Tasks:
- Administer database configuration, security, schema and objects in line with agreed standards.
- Manage database software installations, upgrades, patching and supported environment currency.
- Support migration activities, troubleshooting, performance tuning and system stability.
- Implement access controls, data management processes and disaster recovery activities.
- Demonstrated experience administering complex database management systems.
- Experience working in a highly specialised technical team environment.
- Strong skills across Linux, RedHat, Ansible, OpenShift, OpenStack, GitLab and scripting.
- Experience with M204, SOUL, IBM z/OS database/files management or non-relational databases is desirable.
