Senior Data Visualisation Specialist
Turn complex datasets into accurate, engaging and accessible digital products. This opportunity will see you collaborate with product owners, data scientists and end users to rapidly develop RShiny visualisations and interfaces, while providing expert guidance on data communication, statistical integrity and user-centred design.
Location: Australia-Wide
ACT, NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, SA, TAS or NT. Hybrid working arrangements apply, with onsite attendance and occasional interstate travel required.
Contract Duration: Mid August 2026 to 30 June 2027 — Posssible extensions
Security Clearance Requirement: A current Baseline clearance is strictly required

Essential Tasks
- Rapidly prototype data visualisations and user interfaces in RShiny.
- Produce accurate, academically rigorous and well-documented data solutions.
- Manage data pipelines, analytics environments, applet hosting and authentication.
- Provide best-practice advice on clear, contextual and responsible data presentation.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team with competing priorities.
- Advanced RShiny capability and proficiency across data and web programming languages.
- Experience transferring and ingesting datasets and managing applet hosting environments.
- Strong statistical modelling and contemporary data visualisation knowledge.
