Assistant Director | Health Policy
Lead the implementation of significant health policy initiatives in an Australian Government environment, translating policy priorities into practical, evidence-based outcomes for veterans and families.
Location: Canberra, Adelaide, Hobart, Sydney or Brisbane
Contract Duration: 19 October 2026 to 30 June 2027, with a possible 12-month extension
Security Clearance Requirement: Baseline

Essential Tasks
- Lead implementation and delivery of significant new Government policy initiatives.
- Plan and coordinate complex policy reform projects within governance requirements.
- Provide strategic advice on implementation risks, opportunities and reform priorities.
- Lead stakeholder engagement, consultation and negotiations across government and external partners.
- Sound understanding of Commonwealth Government policy development and implementation.
- Experience delivering policy initiatives, programs or reforms in complex environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and strategic policy advisory capability.
- Commonwealth health policy and/or program experience is desirable.
