Step into a pivotal role with a high-profile federal government client, shaping secure Azure cloud platforms and ‘as a service’ capabilities. You’ll architect, build and secure complex Azure environments (including IRAP PROTECTED workloads), provide technical leadership across networking and identity, and help drive the organisation’s modern cloud transformation.

Location: Canberra, ACT

• Contract Duration: 12 months, with two possible 12-month extensions
• Security Clearance Requirement: Must hold a current NV1 security clearance
• Closing Date: 10:00 am, Thursday 06 June 2024

Essential Tasks:

• Architect and deliver foundational and solution-centric Azure cloud capabilities, including SaaS, PaaS and IaaS
• Design, implement and troubleshoot secure Azure networking (ExpressRoute, Site-to-Site VPN, routing, NSGs, Azure Firewall)
• Develop and secure Azure Subscriptions, Tenancies and Entra ID in multi-tenant environments using Azure Policies
• Provide engineering guidance and leadership across complex ICT solutions, working closely with stakeholders and project teams

Key Criteria:

• Strong experience architecting and engineering Azure environments, including ‘as a service’ offerings and on-prem integration
• Demonstrated ability to secure Azure technologies to IRAP PROTECTED level, with solid understanding of systems engineering methods
• Hands-on experience with Azure networking components (ExpressRoute, VPN, VNET ACLs, NSGs, Azure Firewall)
• Practical skills with automation and DevOps tooling such as ARM templates, Azure CLI and Azure software libraries; Australian citizenship essential
