Senior Cloud FinOps Service Manager – Own Cloud Spend & Value
Join a Canberra-based client where you’ll lead FinOps governance and drive measurable cloud cost optimisation across major platforms. You’ll partner closely with finance and technical teams to improve forecasting, allocation, reporting, and accountability—embedding FinOps into day-to-day cloud operations.
Location: Canberra, ACT
Contract Duration: 12 months (potential 12-month extension)

You’ll partner closely with finance and technical teams to improve forecasting, allocation, reporting, and accountability—embedding FinOps into day-to-day cloud operations.

Essential Tasks:
- Lead cloud cost analysis and optimisation across platforms (AWS, Azure, M365, GCP)
- Establish and mature FinOps processes, governance, and operating rhythms
- Partner with Finance and IT to forecast, allocate/chargeback, and manage budgets
- Deliver dashboards, insights, and stakeholder training to lift cost accountability
- 5+ years in cloud financial management, FinOps, or cloud operations (or similar)
- Strong knowledge of major cloud billing models and cost drivers
- Advanced analytics: reporting, data analysis, and financial modelling
- Proven stakeholder influence and ability to translate technical/financial concepts
