These roles are vital to supporting cyber resilience and enhancing the agency’s ability to detect, respond to, and recover from cyber security incidents.
Key Duties
- Threat Hunting: Proactively identify threats by analysing logs, network data, and system behaviour to detect suspicious activity.
- Incident Response Planning & Playbooks: Develop and maintain incident response plans and playbooks aligned to best-practice frameworks (e.g. ASD ISM, NIST).
- Tabletop Exercises: Design, deliver, and evaluate cyber security tabletop simulations to test and improve organisational readiness.
- Digital Forensics & Investigations: Conduct forensic investigations, preserve digital evidence, and support post-incident analysis and remediation.
- Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: threat hunting, incident response planning, tabletop exercises, digital forensics.
- Familiarity with security tools, frameworks, and standards such as SIEM platforms, forensic suites (e.g. EnCase, FTK), and incident response frameworks (e.g. NIST).
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong documentation and analysis skills with a focus on continuous improvement and cyber resilience.
