Play a pivotal role in a major ERP migration and enterprise data platform uplift, leading hands-on data cleansing and data quality initiatives that will underpin finance, reporting and analytics across a high-profile national sports organisation. You’ll work closely with a Senior Data Architect and business stakeholders, profiling complex datasets, implementing robust data quality rules and mentoring in-house data professionals as the organisation modernises its core systems.


Location: ACT (Canberra-based)

• Contract Duration: 12 months, with 2 x 12-month extension options (up to 3 years)
• Security Clearance Requirement: Baseline 

Essential Tasks

• Drive hands-on data cleansing, validation and quality assurance activities for the new ERP platform and related enterprise data platform.
• Profile and analyse large, complex datasets to identify anomalies, gaps and outliers prior to migration.
• Define, automate and execute data cleansing, remediation and data quality rules aligned with business requirements and governance standards.
• Prepare dashboards and reports to clearly communicate data quality findings, while mentoring internal data professionals on best-practice techniques.

Key Criteria

• Expert-level, hands-on experience identifying data anomalies (duplicates, missing values, outliers) using commercial data quality and profiling tools.
• Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, transformation and complex querying across multiple database systems.
• Strong understanding of data governance, privacy and data quality management within complex organisational environments.
• Experience with Python or R and BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) to automate data quality checks and build interactive visualisations.
