Forensic Accountant – Fraud, Financial Investigations & Governance
Compas is seeking an experienced Forensic Accountant to support complex financial investigations, fraud risk assessments, governance reviews and evidentiary reporting. This contract opportunity is suited to a qualified accounting professional with strong forensic accounting experience, excellent stakeholder skills and the ability to deliver clear, defensible advice in a sensitive regulatory environment.
Location: QLD
Contract Duration: 12 months, with a possible 12-month extension
Security Clearance Requirement: Current Baseline clearance required

Essential Tasks:
- Conduct forensic examinations of financial records to identify fraud, misconduct, misappropriation or irregularities.
- Analyse complex financial data, transactions and accounting systems to trace assets and quantify losses.
- Prepare clear forensic reports suitable for legal, regulatory or governance purposes.
- Support investigations, litigation, discovery, evidentiary analysis and stakeholder advice.
- Relevant accounting qualifications and CA, CPA or equivalent professional membership.
- Extensive direct forensic accounting experience in complex financial or governance environments.
- Strong knowledge of statutory, regulatory and policy frameworks.
- Ability to manage sensitive stakeholders, complex issues and evidentiary standards.
