Portfolio Finance Lead – Budgets, Forecasting & Month-End Reporting (Baseline)

Essential Tasks:
- Lead BAU financial priorities including transaction analysis, journals, accruals and reconciliations
- Build and manage robust budgets and forecasts; deliver insightful month-end reporting and commentary
- Oversee project financial reporting (budget/forecast/actuals), including capitalisation and assurance activities
- Present financial insights to stakeholders, provide policy/finance advice, and support continuous improvement (e.g., dashboards)
- 5+ years’ experience in a Federal Government finance environment (reporting, month-end, budgeting, accruals)
- Strong analytical capability with a results-focused approach and sound judgement under pressure
- Proven stakeholder engagement skills, including presenting finance insights to diverse audiences
- Demonstrated people leadership (supervision/mentoring) and ability to manage competing priorities
