Lead Cyber Incident Responder – Microsoft Security Focus
Join a high-impact cyber security environment as a Lead Cyber Incident Responder, delivering hands-on technical incident response across the full cyber incident lifecycle. This role suits an experienced cyber professional with strong Microsoft security tooling expertise, excellent stakeholder communication skills, and the ability to support incident recovery, reporting, process improvement and team uplift.
Location: QLD, ACT, VIC or NSW – Hybrid Canberra-based candidates are preferred, though strong candidates from other locations may be considered.
Contract Duration: 12 months + 2 x 12-month extension options
Security Clearance Requirement: Existing NV1 clearance required

Essential Tasks:
- Investigate and respond to cyber security incidents end-to-end.
- Use cyber security tools and technologies to perform technical analysis.
- Communicate incident updates, findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Support recovery, post-incident reviews and incident response process improvement.
- Minimum 3 years’ hands-on cyber security incident response experience.
- Strong technical expertise with Microsoft security tools.
- Proven experience responding to cyber incidents across the full lifecycle.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
