Lead SQL Data Platform Administrator | Hybrid Cloud (Azure/AWS)

Step into a senior DBA role supporting a high-availability Microsoft SQL environment spanning on-prem and cloud. You’ll lead performance, security, HA/DR and reporting capability for business-critical platforms, with a strong focus on reliability, automation and uplift as workloads modernise to the cloud.
Location: ACT – Onsite
- Contract Duration: 12 months (with 2 x 12-month extensions), start April 2026
- Security Clearance Requirement: NV1
- Closing Date: 10am Monday 09 March 2026
- Design, install, configure and maintain MS SQL instances across on-prem and hybrid platforms
- Monitor, tune and optimise performance (incl. replication and index tuning)
- Implement HA/DR: clustering, maintenance plans, automated backups and recovery strategies
- Support and optimise SSAS/SSIS/SSRS and Power BI reporting environments
- 5+ years’ experience in a senior Database Administrator role
- Strong MS SQL Server capability (Always-On Availability Groups, SQL Replication)
- Strong SQL/T-SQL and PowerShell automation skills
- Proven troubleshooting, documentation and stakeholder communication skills
