Lead Data Scientist | Fraud, Risk & Advanced Analytics

Location: QLD, ACT, NSW, SA
Contract Duration: 12 months, with possible 2 x 6-month extensions
Security Clearance Requirement: Current Baseline clearance required

Essential Tasks:
- Develop, test and refine detection indicators for fraud, compliance and risk analytics.
- Design, build and validate advanced models including anomaly detection and predictive modelling.
- Translate analytical outputs into operational detection capability with data engineering teams.
- Develop dashboards, summary outputs and analytical products for stakeholder decision-making.
- Strong data science capability across statistical analysis, machine learning and advanced analytics.
- Experience with exploratory data analysis, feature engineering and complex datasets.
- Ability to develop, diagnose and troubleshoot specialist analytical models.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including visualisation and reporting.
