Senior Network Engineer | Cisco, Aruba & Fortinet
Take ownership of designing, implementing and supporting secure enterprise network infrastructure across an Australian Government environment. Work with Cisco, HPE Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, AWS and Azure technologies to deliver reliable, high-performing network services. This is an onsite contract opportunity based in the ACT or Tasmania, with extension options.
Location - ACT or Tasmania (TAS)
Contract Duration: Initial 6-month contract with up to three 12-month extension options.
Security Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) clearance.

Essential Tasks
- Design, implement and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, data centre and wireless network infrastructure.
- Configure, manage and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs and routing protocols.
- Optimise network performance, automate network management and strengthen security across on-premises, AWS and Azure environments.
- Develop technical network requirements for RFQs, undertake technical and value-for-money evaluations, and provide recommendations and documentation.
- Extensive enterprise networking experience with Cisco, HPE Aruba, Fortinet and Palo Alto technologies, including routing, switching and TCP/IP.
- Strong expertise in DNS, DHCP, VPNs, IP addressing, firewalls, load balancing and network troubleshooting.
- Proven experience with network monitoring, automation, scripting, security controls and cloud networking across AWS and Microsoft Azure.
- Experience preparing network RFQ requirements and conducting technical and value-for-money evaluations. Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE or AWS Certified Advanced Networking are highly desirable.
