Join a Senior Server Engineering team delivering secure, high-availability Windows Server, Active Directory and VMware platforms for a Darwin-based organisation within a sensitive federal government environment. In this hands-on role you’ll lead design, implementation and uplift of core server infrastructure, support critical OT and IT workloads, and play a key part in security remediation and monitoring for a mission-essential environment.

Location:
Northern Territory – Darwin based, onsite (up to 40 hours per week between 7am–7pm, Mon–Fri)

Contract Details

• Contract Duration: 12 months (anticipated start 23 February 2026)
• Security Clearance Requirement: Current Baseline security clearance (must be active)
• Closing Date: 10:00am Thursday 15 January 2026

Essential Tasks:

• Design, implement and maintain Windows Server and Active Directory environments, including migrations to a new AD forest in a high-availability setting.
• Design, implement and maintain VMware virtualisation infrastructure supporting critical IT and OT workloads.
• Implement security remediation and uplift activities, and use monitoring, vulnerability and fault analysis tools to optimise server environments.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation (architecture, as-built and operational docs) and collaborate with multi-disciplinary stakeholders.

Key Criteria:

• Demonstrated experience implementing and managing Windows Server and Active Directory, including AD migrations, aligned with Microsoft and ASD recommendations.
• Strong experience implementing and managing VMware virtualisation infrastructure in secure, high-availability environments.
• High attention to detail with excellent communication skills and proven technical writing capability.
• Ability to work within organisational safety, environmental and quality frameworks, aligning to corporate values and strategies.
