Essential Tasks:
- Review, update and maintain security-related document suites including technical security policies, equipment guides, risk assessment templates and user-facing guidance.
- Translate complex technical security and threat concepts into clear, plain-English content aligned with internal Plain Language and branding guidelines.
- Work closely with security SMEs and policy stakeholders to gather information, coordinate self and peer reviews, and incorporate feedback through to final sign-off.
- Store, organise and maintain documents in approved content-management systems with correct metadata, classification markings, audit trails and access controls.
- Proven experience producing technical documentation for government or regulated environments, with a strong command of plain-language writing techniques.
- Demonstrated understanding of government security concepts and frameworks (e.g. PSPF, ISM, ISO 31000 or similar).
- High proficiency with MS Word, plus familiarity with document-management platforms such as SharePoint, Confluence and similar tools.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills, with the ability to extract detail from SMEs and present content clearly to non-technical audiences.
