Compas is seeking a Senior Technical Lead to join a Federal Government Department for a long-term engagement. The Technical Lead will act as a subject matter expert, providing technical advice, solutions, and recommendations to stakeholders.

• Initial contract till June 2027 + extensions
• NV2 or the ability to obtain one quickly
• ACT only

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the development of enterprise-wide cloud and IT solution architectures aligned with strategic business goals.
• Oversee the specification and design of complex IT systems integrating cloud services, legacy platforms, and emerging technologies.
• Direct engineering teams across cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and security domains, ensuring delivery excellence.
• Manage integration and delivery of technical staff and vendors.
• Champion innovation in cloud engineering practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience in leading delivery of cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP) and IT systems engineering.
• proven leadership in engineering management and technical strategy.
• Experience in DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud security.
