Contract Details
- Contract Duration: 12-month contract from 1 April 2026, with possible 2 x 12-month extension options
- Security Clearance Requirement: Current TSPV security clearance required (must be held prior to commencement)
- Closing Date: 10:00am, Monday 19 January 2026
Essential Tasks
- Design, implement and evolve application architectures to support secure modern mobility solutions for senior government users, across network, desktop, gateway and cloud services.
- Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications for application access, including Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) services.
- Proactively monitor, test and support end-user applications, performing performance tuning via monitoring tools to ensure optimal configuration and user experience.
- Provide technical guidance and governance on solution design, risk identification and change requests, ensuring strategies, standards and ICT security requirements are applied to meet IOC/FOC outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience leading the development of solution architectures in complex, secure ICT environments (EL1 / SFIA ARCH5 level or equivalent).
- Strong background designing large or complex systems (DESN5), balancing functional and non-functional requirements, and assessing design trade-offs and risks.
- Hands-on experience with VDI, secure mobility, end-user computing and integration of applications with underlying network, gateway and cloud infrastructure.
- Proven ability to consult with stakeholders, draft technical specifications, evaluate deviations from design, and apply security and cost-management policies in practice.
