Senior Cloud Engineer - PV Cleared | Secure Cloud & DevOps Platforms

Essential Tasks:
Location: Barton, ACT
Contract Duration: Initial 12-month contract, with 2 x 12-month extension options
Maximum hours: 37.5 hours per week
Security Clearance: Due to the nature of this environment, candidates are required to have a TSPV clearance to perform this role.

This opportunity is suited to a hands-on Senior Cloud Engineer with strong cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps experience who can design, deploy, support, and continuously improve resilient cloud platforms and services in a secure operating environment.
Essential Tasks:
- Build, configure, maintain, and support secure cloud platforms and services using cloud and DevOps practices
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code, automation scripts, and CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments
- Apply secure-by-design principles and align solutions with enterprise architecture, security requirements, and government standards
- Monitor performance, availability, and security while supporting cloud-based applications and driving continuous improvement
- Demonstrated experience designing, deploying, configuring, and optimising cloud environments
- Hands-on experience with IaC and automation tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible, and container technologies
- Strong scripting capability in Python and Shell, with experience using Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines
- Sound knowledge of ICT operations including backups, storage, data protection, and cloud security best practices
